The above is a link to an article in the SMH about the new Core 2 chips by Intel
These are great cpu and very powerful
It is likely what a lot of us will have in our next PC (and is the new version of what is in Macs these days)
It is interesting to note that not only are these more powerful but they also use less power
Why does that matter?
Well less power = less heat
Less Heat means less cooling - so your pc can be quieter
(PC noise really bugs me - I moved to a laptop)
Not only that but smaller cooling, etc means we can more easily put them in small devices
Like small media pc in your lounge room, etc
